Information
For this project, the client wanted a unique wine tasting room that appeared to have been cut from metamorphic stone.
After exploring different approaches, Dave developed a special plastering method that perfectly captured the desired look. A fine custom blend of true Italian plasters and specialized pigments created a stone cut appearance on the walls and ceiling of this space.
After the success of the plastering, the client requested that dark brown stained beams be integrated into the ceiling of the room. The grain of the wood just barely peeks out from the deep browns in this stain treatment.
The outcome was stunning: a gorgeous wine tasting room for the client's to enjoy and host in for years to come.
While it looks like the beautiful stone rooms of Italy, this process was perfected in Southeast Michigan.
